Melissa Kwan is the cofounder and CEO of eWebinar, and a three-time bootstrapped founder. Her previous startup, a real estate tech company, was acquired in 2019. She has spent 15 years building companies without venture capital, specializing in B2B sales and business development, and learning how to build with very few resources at every stage.
That constraint shaped how she thinks about work. When she was running her last company, she found herself giving the same demos and training sessions over and over to new customers. She was growing, but her time wasn't. At some point she realized: the way most people deliver content is fundamentally broken. You show up live. You repeat yourself. And the moment you stop showing up, the content stops reaching people. There had to be a better way to say something once and have it reach everyone who needs to hear it, without you having to be there every time. That idea became eWebinar.
